Thank you so much for the kind words. The inspiration for the video came from the beauty of your work. Thanks for sharing so freely. The loops are obviously the product of countless hours of work and are really beautiful and inspired.

You are in my classroom too! You embody the open-source ethos for our students when you freely share and express gratitude. We have all benefited and are better because of it. Thank you!

Pretty impressive and, needless to say, beautiful photographic work. Reminds me of the detail of the Creation and the inspiration of colors in the universe. I could spend hours looking at your posted pix and continue to be inspired by each of them. You obviously have a green thumb too. Nice.

I say go for it in respect to animating the tulips. My advice for flowers is to not be afraid to pick and prod and unless you're going for wilting and decay be fast. I often dissect blossoms to get to some of the unique patterns inside or at the base of petals. I'm hoping to make it to Ybor City for the weekend.

Hi David,
Got your comment from Vimeo, thanks! Yes, I was just at Strange Beauty, and look forward to coming to Ybor City. I looked at your reel, which I liked - strangely just the other day I was looking at the inside of these tulips I bought and I was thinking "I should animate these..."
It'd be nice to meet you if you come to Ybor City!

Thanks for tracking my site down and the tip. I'll try and update my videos that identify species in the near future.

I think my sister mentioned I should check out the Georgia Aquarium once. Do they have some of the local crabs like the Calico box crab, mottled purse crab, lady crab, or speckled crab in any of their aquariums? I actually have shells from all of these as well as two boxes of spider crabs (somehow these never really smelled).
I'd love to work with them, I guess they're even closer to home now with Marineland.

hi - really enjoyed the show at the planetarium. noticed a slight error re your crab - be sure to put genus and species names in italics or underline. so, eg, Limulus polyphemus needs to be in italics or underlined.
have you thought about the georgia aquarium? I know the science director from way back in graduate school...
